Pet of the Day!

Kinkajou
This cute baby animal is a 'kinkajou' also commonly known as a ''honey bear''. Kinkajous are found in the the rainforest and are mammals native to Central and South America. Although some may think it is endangered, it is really not! Kinkajous are just rarely seen because of their extremely nocturnal habits. Even though they are not endangered they are still threatened greatly for the want for there fur which sadly is used to make wallets and horse saddles. These cute little creatures can live up to 40 years and when grown up range from 3-10 lbs. Kinkajous feed mainly on fruit and enjoy fruit! They are known for their long tongues which they use to get to fruit and to get the nectar from flowers! Kinkajous are sometimes kept as exotic pets ( who wouldn't want a cute kinkajou?) and are playful and quiet animals but have shown signs of aggression.
